Forest River builds most of its towable product in and around Elkhart, Indiana. Every unit that leaves those plants has to be physically towed to the dealer who sells it, and somebody pays for that trip. That somebody is the buyer.

A trailer delivered to a dealer on either coast carries that freight cost baked in before a customer ever walks on the lot. Bunker Hill sits under 100 miles from the plants. Our freight cost is a fraction of what a distant dealer absorbs, and that gap does not disappear when a sale ends. It is structural, and it is the single biggest reason buyers fly or drive to Indiana and still come out ahead.

No prep fees, no freight fees, no hidden fees

Some dealers advertise an attractive number and then introduce a preparation fee, a freight or destination charge, and a documentation fee once you are at the desk. We do not add any of those.

One location, deep Forest River inventory

We run one location rather than dozens of rooftops, and everything new on it is Forest River product. Roughly 500 of our new units carry the Forest River name outright. Add Coachmen, Prime Time, East to West and Shasta, all Forest River companies, and the entire new lineup comes from one manufacturer. Buying that much product that close to the plants is how we cut out the middle layers a distant dealer ends up paying for.

You do not need to live in Indiana to buy from us, and you do not need to drive here. We sell to customers across the Midwest and throughout the country, and the process is routine.

Come and get it. Plenty of customers make a trip of it, fly or drive in, complete a full walkthrough with our team, and tow home. We schedule the orientation so nobody is rushed. We are on US Highway 31 a few miles south of Grissom Air Force Base, about 15 minutes from Kokomo and roughly an hour from both Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, each with an airport.

Or we deliver it. We arrange transport to your address anywhere in the continental United States. Cost depends on distance and unit size and is quoted separately, so you can see exactly what it is rather than having it folded into something else.

You register at home. Sales tax, title and registration are handled according to your own state's rules, and you register the unit where you live. We prepare the paperwork your DMV needs and walk you through how tax and registration work for your state before anything is signed. Buying across a state line is normal, and thousands of RV buyers do it every year.

Forest River is the largest RV manufacturer in North America, which means its range spans budget travel trailers through full time luxury fifth wheels, and build quality varies accordingly across that range rather than being one single standard. Cherokee Grey Wolf competes at the value end, Riverstone and Cedar Creek at the premium end. The more useful question is not whether the brand is good but whether the specific line matches how you plan to use it, which is what the guide above is for.

What is the difference between Forest River, Coachmen, Prime Time and East to West?

They are all Forest River companies. Forest River acquired Coachmen, Prime Time, Shasta and East to West and runs them as separate divisions with their own plants and model lines. So a Coachmen Catalina and a Cherokee Grey Wolf come from the same parent company but different divisions. For a buyer this mostly matters for parts, warranty routing and which dealer stocks what.

Why do Forest River RV prices vary so much between dealers?

Three reasons. Freight cost from the factory to the dealer, which rises with distance. Added fees such as prep, destination and documentation charges, which some dealers build into the advertised figure and others introduce at signing. And volume, since dealers who move more units buy at better cost. The unit itself is identical.

Why is the price hidden on some units?

Manufacturers set a minimum advertised price. Where our number falls below it we are not permitted to publish the figure, so the listing shows a request form instead. It is a condition of the dealer agreement rather than a tactic. Requesting it or calling gets you the real number, and on those units the real number is lower than what is displayed.

Can I buy an RV from an out of state dealer?

Yes, and it is common. Sales tax, title and registration are handled under your own state's rules, and you register at home. The dealer supplies the paperwork your DMV requires. You can either travel to collect the unit or have it delivered.
